The European Central Bank on Thursday cut its interest rates by 0.25 percentage points because "inflation is on track to settle at around 2 percent target."
The euro area economy has been building up some resilience against global shocks. However, the growth outlook has deteriorated owing to rising trade tensions, the central bank said in a statement.
