Reviving the U.S. shipbuilding industry by imposing port fees? It just won't happen. Every country has its strengths and weaknesses - the United States is no exception. It's not omnipotent, nor does it excel in every industry. The downfall of America's shipbuilding industry is America's fault. It can't be revived by kneecapping other country through imposing unreasonable port fees. It's not beneficial and self-destructive. From American public to businesses, the prevailing view is that imposing port fees on Chinese vessels and operators would not only harm international trade, but also deal a severe blow to the interests of U.S. consumers and enterprises.
