Amid the sharp lines and mirrored reflections of Beijing's Central Business District (CBD), the flowing hemlines of mamianqun, or horse-face skirts, move gracefully through the glass-and-steel forest of modern design.

Traditional Chinese clothing has long been a vibrant expression of the nation's etiquette, temperament, aesthetics and way of life.

Today, with the rise of "China chic," a new generation is proudly reviving hanfu culture – blending heritage with contemporary style. From graduation ceremonies and weddings to casual moments, they are giving ancient fashion a fresh, trendy presence.
