In Jiuzhi County, NW China's Qinghai Province, 15 wild red deer were captured on camera sprinting freely through the snow-dusted mountains, a breathtaking glimpse of wildlife in harmony with nature. Red deer is listed as a national second-class protected species and is the second-largest deer species just behind moose. These social animals live mainly in mountainous forests and grasslands, feeding on grasses, leaves, twigs, bark and fruits.
