Janet Yang, president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, highlighted China's growing cultural influence and the vast potential of its film market, at the 15th Beijing International Film Festival (BJIFF) Industry Forum on April 19.

Drawing from her decades-long personal and professional experience, she said that "film has a unique power to bring people together." She expressed optimism about cultural exchange not only between China and the United States, but also among countries in the world.

Yang cited China's recent achievements as evidence of its rising cultural voice including "Ne Zha 2"'s historic box-office success and global phenomena such as the game "Black Myth: Wukong" and adaptation of "The Three-Body Problem." China's cultural voice is "claiming its rightful place on the world stage," she said.
