CGTN hosted a panel discussion on China's deepening ties across Southeast Asia, following President Xi Jinping's recent visits to Vietnam, Malaysia and Cambodia. From infrastructure upgrades to expanded economic cooperation, the visits highlighted a shared vision for regional development. To discuss these evolving dynamics, we were joined by Professor John Gong from the University of International Business and Economics; Nguyen Khac Giang, a fellow at Singapore's ISEAS-Yusfo Ishak Institute; Anas Hayyan, an analyst at the Asian Strategy and Leadership Institute; and Dr Seun Sam from the Royal Academy of Cambodia. We asked our guests how Vietnam, Malaysia and Cambodia can better align their national priorities to strengthen regional cooperation frameworks.
