China has ample policy tools to boost consumption, Zhang Bin, deputy director of the Institute of World Economics and Politics at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and senior fellow at China Finance 40 Forum (CF40), told CGTN. He added that one of the most powerful drivers for consumption in the short term is the increase of household disposable income, which is driven by GDP growth.
