At a critical time for global energy transition, China and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries are deepening cooperation in peaceful nuclear energy. Experts and officials from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and other GCC nations gathered at the first China-GCC Forum on the Peaceful Use of Nuclear Technology in Chengdu, southwest China's Sichuan Province, to explore new opportunities for collaboration.

The forum emphasized the growing partnerships between China and the GCC, especially in radiation safety, nuclear medicine, and desalination technology. GCC representatives expressed optimism about further collaboration, noting the region's fast-growing interest in nuclear energy.

As both sides work together to tackle regional challenges, this new chapter of nuclear cooperation is set to shape a cleaner and more sustainable future for all.
