Egypt is becoming a regional hub for satellite manufacturing in the Middle East and Africa. With its state-of-the-art Assembly, Integration and Testing (AIT) Center, the North African country can complete up to 60 percent of satellite-manufacturing processes domestically. The MisrSat 2 has proven to be a successful model in this regard as the first remote-sensing satellite produced by the China-funded AIT Center.
