Zhou Jihong was elected as the new president of the Chinese Swimming Association (CSA) on Tuesday during its Sixth Congress of Members in Beijing. Huang Wei and a further seven members were elected as vice presidents, with Huang con-currently serving as secretary-general.
President Zhou, who claimed the women's 10 meters platform gold medal in 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games, stated that the CSA would continue to focus on the strategic goal of building China into a global sports power by 2035, promoting its development in competitive sports, youth sports, and nationwide fitness initiatives.
