In 2025, which marks the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Switzerland and China, Switzerland served as the Guest of Honor at the 15th Beijing International Film Festival (BJIFF), showcasing nine Swiss films to bridge cultures through the art of filmmaking. Renowned Swiss actor Vincent Pérez, producer Silvan Zürcher, director Ramon Zürcher, and Reta Guetg, Vice Director of the Zurich Film Festival (ZFF), actively participated in the event. Through panel discussions and workshops, they shared professional insights with Chinese audiences and filmmakers, expressing hopes for increased cinematic exchanges between Switzerland and China in the future.
