As the world transitions to cleaner energy, China and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) are strengthening their collaboration in peaceful nuclear energy.
Huang Ping, secretary general of the China Atomic Energy Authority, shared insights at the China-GCC Forum on Nuclear Technology. "China's nuclear industry has grown from 300 billion yuan in 2015 to 700 billion yuan in 2022," he said.
China is also working closely with the IAEA to build a strong nuclear safety system and help more developing nations. One key project: the China-GCC Nuclear Security Demonstration Center, aimed at preventing nuclear terrorism and ensuring public safety.
