China has unveiled a shorter market access negative list, continuing its efforts to open markets and boost business activity. The negative list specifies fields that are off-limits to both domestic and overseas business entities. The updated list reduces restricted items from 117 in 2022 to 106 this year, with key sectors like telecom services and manufacturing seeing eased entry rules. The negative list has undergone five revisions since its implementation in 2018, with the total number of items reduced by 30 percent. For more insight, CGTN connects with Zhou Mi, a senior research fellow from the Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation.
