Isabelle Huppert: A movie is a trip into oneself

Renowned French actress Isabelle Huppert is celebrated for her portrayals of complex, anti-conformist and often twisted and tormented characters. Throughout her illustrious career, she has collaborated with some of the greatest masters of Western cinema, from the French New Wave to today. 

In an exclusive interview with CGTN, Huppert offers a unique perspective, drawing a beautiful parallel between filmmaking and travel: "To do a film is always a kind of trip anyway" and "it's an exact and true metaphor actually in what a movie is, which is a kind of traveling into yourself."
