China launched the Shenzhou-20 crewed spaceship on Thursday, sending three astronauts to its orbiting space station for a six-month mission. Chinese astronauts Chen Dong, Chen Zhongrui and Wang Jie are carrying out the mission. Families and friends of the crew members watched the live broadcast from home and cheered them on.
