Twenty-seven people, including 10 school children, were injured on Friday when a bus veered off the road in Mahiyanganaya in Sri Lanka's Uva Province, police said.
According to the police, the accident was due to a failure in the bus braking system.
Police spokesperson Buddhika Manatunga confirmed that 10 of the injured were school children, and all those injured were taken to a regional hospital for treatment.
