As China's film industry continues its journey toward industrialization, the Qingdao Oriental Movie Metropolis has emerged as a key driving force.
As the country's first large-scale film and television production base built to international standards, it offers an impressive array of facilities, including 40 state-of-the-art sound stages, 32 set construction workshops, and the world's largest indoor constant-temperature water tank. With a full-spectrum virtual production platform and a digital post-production center, it supports the entire filmmaking process, serving as a powerhouse behind many of China's biggest films.

In recent years, the base has become the go-to destination for the films with high levels of industrial complexity and demanding production needs. Spring Festival holiday hit "Creation of the Gods II: Demon Force" was largely produced here. As one of China's earliest fully industrialized film projects, the "Creation of the Gods" series owes much of its execution to the support of the Metropolis.

The action-packed "Operation Leviathan" also made extensive use of the site, constructing a full-scale submarine set to capture unprecedented underwater visuals.
Other major titles—including "The Wandering Earth series," "A Writer's Odyssey," and "Home Coming"—were either fully produced or partially filmed at the Qingdao base.
