Vlog: Exploring Tibetan Buddhism in Lhasa with monks from 12 countries

03:54

Last week, religious delegates and monks from 12 countries gathered in Lhasa for Tibetan Buddhist culture. At Sera Monastery, they watched the 600-year-old scripture debate and felt its unique vibe.

Nguyen Van Tan, a Buddhist representative from Vietnam, hoped Tibetan monks would visit for cultural exchanges. Nergui Sainbuyan, the Mongolian abbot, was a Lhasa regular with 10 visits. Nima Tshering Lepcha from India shared his thoughts on Tibetan Buddhism. A Tibetan college student introduced the circumambulation tradition.

Religious figures expect closer Buddhist cooperation in Tibetan language, medicine and education. Follow CGTN's Mi Sutong to explore the Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, and Barkhor Street, and uncover the charm of Tibetan Buddhist culture!
