The Supreme People's Procuratorate and the Ministry of Water Resources have launched a joint special campaign for water ecosystem protection in the Yellow River Basin. The initiative will further strengthen collaboration between water administrative law enforcement and prosecutorial public interest litigation, targeting critical ecological vulnerabilities in the region. Procuratorates in nine Yellow River jurisdictions had filed 2719 environmental and cultural lawsuits in the past year, targeting water security, erosion, floods, mine pollution and heritage sites in the past year.
