At least 25 people were killed and more than 500 injured on Saturday after a massive explosion rocked Shahid Rajaee Port in the city of Bandar Abbas in southern Iran's Hormozgan province.

China's Consulate General in Bandar Abbas said three Chinese citizens sustained minor injuries in the explosion.

Investigations are underway to determine the cause of the explosion amid reports that the blast was caused by chemical materials in a container at the port.
