A poll released by the AP-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research shows that nearly twice as many Americans believe President Donald Trump is focusing on the wrong priorities compared to those who think he's on the right track, 100 days into his second term.
The survey, which interviewed 1,260 adults through online and phone interviews, found that over 50 percent of the public believes Trump has been a poor or terrible president so far in his second term, with 16 percent considering his presidency average and 31 percent rating it as great or good.
Additionally, 58 percent of the public disapproves of Trump's performance across a variety of policy areas, including the economy, immigration, and foreign policy, while 39 percent view his performance favorably.
Most respondents (62 percent) feel the country is heading in the wrong direction.
Overall, the public appears to view the early months of Trump's second term largely as expected, with only about 30 percent of respondents expressing surprise over his policies and actions.
