China's national trade promotion system issued 1.78 million commercial certificates in the first quarter, marking a year-on-year increase of 14.91 percent, an official told reporters on Monday.

Of these, 621,700 preferential certificates of origin were issued, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 42.67 percent. Meanwhile, certificates of origin issued under the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) totaled 69,160, with a year-on-year rise of 27.03 percent.

Amid the current complex and challenging external environment for China's exports, Zhao Ping, a spokesperson for the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, stated that Chinese foreign trade enterprises can leverage free trade agreements, including the RCEP, to explore diversified markets and expand economic and trade cooperation with all parties.
