The Guangsha Lions defeated three-time defending champions Liaoning Flying Leopards 110-84 on Monday in the CBA Playoffs to get their second-straight win at home and lead the best-of-five semifinal series 2-0.
Joshua Carlton drove in for a fade-away jumper to cut the deficit to three for the home side in the early stages. James Nunnally then nailed a triple to make it 28-20 for Guangsha.
Sun Minghui had his fourth foul of the contest which came on Zhao Jiwei. So he had to leave the court.
Barry Brown Jr. had a fast break which ended in a lay-up, and Guangsha led by 11. The American guard drained a long distance three pointer en route to his game-high 30 points.
Sun came back and found Zhu Junlong, whose lay-up enlarged Guangsha's lead to 21. Wu Xiao, playing with an arm injury, was fouled by three Liaoning players under the basket, and the forward scored the free throw with only one hand. He then added a couple more to seal Guangsha's win.
Game three will be held on Thursday in Liaoning.
