The final showdown of the first season of Yinjiang Tujia and Miao Autonomous County's "cunxi," or village cultural shows, kicked off just ahead of the May Day holiday in southwest China's Guizhou Province.
The competing teams added a creative twist to their intangible heritage performances, incorporating elements of local treasures such as oiled paper umbrellas and a unique card game of the Bo ethnic group. These innovative performances offered both local audiences and visitors a captivating sensory and emotional experience, blending traditional artistry with modern interpretations.

Yinjiang's initiative to organize a series of village cultural events serves as a vibrant community platform. By encouraging townships to form teams, scouring the countryside for hidden talents, and welcoming the voluntary participation of villagers, the county has successfully highlighted the appeal of its rich culture and tourism resources.
In a remarkable feat, the first season of the village cultural shows, which ran for a little over 200 days, amassed an astonishing 800 million online views. This cultural extravaganza has not only catapulted Yinjiang into the spotlight, but has also become a powerful catalyst for the growth of the local cultural tourism sector, breathing new life into the industry.
