Research icebreaker Xuelong 2, which took part in China's 41st Antarctic expedition, completed its stopover for replenishment at Port Hobart, Australia, and began its return journey northward. Some of the expedition members have returned home by flight, and the Xuelong 2 is scheduled to arrive in Shanghai in June. China has established five research bases in Antarctica over the past nearly 40 years – the Great Wall Station, the Zhongshan Station, the Kunlun Station, the Taishan Station and the Qinling Station.
