Sashko Nasev, North Macedonian ambassador to China, recently sat down with CGTN's Cui Yingjie in Beijing for an exclusive interview. In 2024, North Macedonia's total trade with China reached $1.22 billion, making China its fourth-largest trading partner. Ambassador Nasev highlighted his country's efforts to draw on China's full-industry-chain expertise and innovation-driven model while actively courting Chinese investment to inject fresh momentum into the local industrialization. He noted that over the past half-century, China and the European Union have already yielded very fruitful cooperation. As an EU candidate country, the ambassador added, North Macedonia looks forward to both sides writing the next chapter of mutually beneficial relations.
