The draw results for the upcoming International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) World Table Tennis Championships Finals in Qatar's Doha were announced on Wednesday.

In the men's singles event, Chinese top seed Lin Shidong will play Alvaro Robles of Spain in the first round. Lin is in the same half with his compatriot, No. 5 seed Liang Jingkun who will face Egypt's Omar Assar.

The two Chinese favorites are in the same half with Brazil's new World Championship winner Hugo Calderano and French No. 6 seed Felix LeBrun.

In the other half is second-seeded Wang Chuqin of China along with Japanese ace Tomokazu Harimoto and No. 7 seed Truls Moregard of Sweden.

Chinese women's singles No. 1 seed Sun Yingsha was drawn into the same half with her compatriot, fourth-seeded Wang Yidi. Two Japanese opponents, No. 8 Mima Ito and No. 7 Satsuki Odo. Second-seeded Wang Manyu and No. 3 Chen Xingtong of China will compete with Japan's Miwa Harimoto and Hina Hayata in the other half.

In the women's doubles, third-seeded Chinese pair Qian Tianyi and Chen may make an eye-catching semifinals clash with No. 1 seeds Odo and Sakura Yokoi of Japan if both go far enough. Wang Manyu and Kuai Man are in the other half with Miwa Harimoto and Miyuu Kihara.

Two Chinese pairs, Liang and Huang Youzheng, Lin Gaoyuan and Lin Shidong, are in the same half in the men's doubles event.

Lin Shidong will also pair with Kuai for the mixed doubles competitions in the same half with No. 3 seeds Wong Chun Ting and Doo Hoi Kem of China's Hong Kong. Second-seeded Chinese pair Wang Chuqin and Sun are in the other half with South Korea's Lim Jong-hoon and Shin Yu-bin, as well as Japan's Sora Matsushima and Miwa Harimoto.

The World Championships Finals will begin on May 17.
