Just days before the U.S. ended its tariff exemption for low-value packages from China on May 2, e-commerce giant Temu quietly removed a large number of items from its U.S. site. These products were previously sold by small-scale vendors who couldn't afford to ship in bulk. Now, facing steep duties and added paperwork, Temu is discontinuing these listings – resulting in less variety for American shoppers and higher prices once local inventories run out.
