Singapore's ruling People's Action Party (PAP) was headed for a landslide victory in general elections on Saturday, a sample count showed, giving new Prime Minister Lawrence Wong the clear mandate he was seeking.
Sample results of 77 seats showed the ruling People's Action Party (PAP) winning 68 on top of the five it had already secured because there was no contest, while the opposition Workers' Party obtained nine.
