The successful partnership between China and Russia in metro construction not only highlights the global competitiveness of Chinese enterprises but also deepens bilateral cooperation in infrastructure development.

The final nine stations of the Moscow Metro Big Circle Line (BCL) officially opened on March 2, 2023, marking the full completion of the world's longest circular metro line. Spanning 71 kilometers with 31 stations and 3 train depots, the BCL has now surpassed Beijing Metro Line 10 in length. The nine newly opened stations also feature stunning architecture and artistic design – quickly turning them into Moscow's latest must-see attractions for locals and tourists alike.

This milestone also signifies a historic first – Chinese companies entering the Russian metro construction market. China Railway Construction Corporation (CRCC) was entrusted with building three stations and nine shield tunnels, highlighting China's advanced engineering and project management capabilities.

One standout is the Michurinsky Prospekt station, which opened in December 2021. Designed with rich Chinese cultural elements, the station has become a new symbol of Sino-Russian friendship and collaboration.

Moscow's metro system is world-renowned for its ring-and-radial design and palace-like stations. With seamless integration into the city's transport network, the new BCL is expected to handle up to 2 million passengers daily, easing congestion and improving urban mobility.
