May 6 marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and the European Union. Over the past five decades, relations have deepened across various sectors.

In 2024, the total value of imports and exports between the two sides exceeded $785 billion.

Vasilis Trigkas, visiting assistant professor of global affairs at Schwarzman College, Tsinghua University, stated that China and Europe have doubled down on openness and strengthened commercial ties, contributing to a more diverse geopolitical landscape.
