This Labor Day holiday, China saw tourist destinations thriving, as visitors were attracted by cultural experiences and consumer incentives. The latest data shows 314 million domestic trips nationwide during the holiday period, marking a 6.4 percent year-on-year increase. Total tourism spending by domestic travelers hit over 180 billion yuan, or about $25 billion, up 8 percent compared to the same period in 2024.
