Kaifeng, the capital of China's Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127), was once the biggest city in the world. However, the city has faced many adversities since then. For example, in 1642, induced floods destroyed this city during a war. However, people here never give up their hope and love for this land. They have rebuilt it right on its original location, time and time again. Although no longer a provincial capital, Kaifeng still works hard to join China's modernization efforts and strives to recapture its former glory.
