During the Battle of Wuhan in 1938, Soviet Air Force volunteers secretly came to China to offer their support. More than 200 of them gave their lives for the liberation of the Chinese people and the global fight against fascism, yet many never left behind their real names. At the time, many served under code names like "Eagle," "Rabbit" and "Little Bird." Who were these brave souls? Few people knew their names … until now, thanks to continued research. Today, at the Eternal Flame honoring unknown heroes in Moscow's Red Square, we can finally read aloud the names of these brave pilots.
