The Indian defense ministry on Wednesday claimed it was conducting strikes on Pakistan and Pakistan-controlled Kashmir, allegedly in response to a terror attack on April 22 in the Pahalgam area of Indian-controlled Kashmir, which left 26 civilians dead. At least eight civilians were killed and 35 others injured after India fired missiles at six locations in Pakistan, according to the Pakistani military.
Sourabh Gupta, Asia-Pacific international relations specialist at the Institute for China-America Studies, and Victor Gao, Chair Professor at Soochow University, shared their insights on the rising India-Pakistan tensions.
