– The Indian Defense Ministry on Wednesday said the country had conducted strikes on Pakistan and Pakistan-controlled Kashmir, in response to an alleged terror attack on April 22 in the Pahalgam area of Indian-controlled Kashmir, which left 26 civilians dead.
– Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said Islamabad would retaliate after the Indian missile strikes.
– Pakistan's military claimed five Indian jets had been downed across the border. New Delhi has not responded to the claims. The death toll from Indian air strikes and border firing on Pakistan rose to 31 on Wednesday, the country's military said.
– The Indian government said that 13 civilians have been killed and 59 wounded by Pakistani fire since Wednesday, AFP reported.
