A memorial concert titled "Eternal Remembrance" was held in St. Petersburg to commemorate the 80th anniversary of victory in World War II – and to honor the sacrifices of China and Russia in their shared struggle against fascism. The event featured stirring performances by the St. Petersburg State Conservatory and the Russia-China Symphony Orchestra. Through patriotic music and poetry, the concert revived memories of a united wartime struggle.
In a congratulatory message, Andrey Denisov, first deputy chair of Russia's Federation Council Committee on Foreign Affairs, stressed the heavy price both nations paid for peace and warned against distorting historical truth or reviving fascism. He said that China and Russia remain steadfast partners in defending global peace, equality, and mutual respect – just as they stood side by side eight decades ago.
