Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in Moscow on Wednesday for a state visit to Russia and to attend the celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Soviet Union's Great Patriotic War at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
CGTN Stringer took to the streets of Moscow to ask residents how they view Xi's visit, the China-Russia friendship, and their hopes for future bilateral ties.
"I think this visit is significant for the Russian people," said Irena, a seamstress, adding that Xi's visit represents the solid friendship between the two nations. "The friendship between our countries will contribute to global peace and serve as a model of mutual respect and appreciation," she said.
