The Taosi Site Park in Xiangfen County, Shanxi Province, has officially opened to the public. One of its main highlights is the Observatory, reconstructed on its original foundation with 13 rammed-earth pillars. Preliminary studies indicate that ancient people used the structure to track the sun's movements and mark solar terms, providing guidance for agricultural activities. Dating back to around 2100 BC, this observatory predates England's world-famous Stonehenge by nearly 500 years.
