The US tariff war is a regressive counter-current and it won't last long, said Guan Qingyou, an economist and president of the Reality Institute of Advanced Finance, in a recent interview with CGTN. The American attempt to comprehensively contain China's market access and dismantle manufacturing competitiveness through blockades is fundamentally implausible, he added.
