The Zhuyuwan Scenic Area in Yangzhou, Jiangsu Province, on Sunday issued a "reward notice" for information about a missing capybara, offering a free zoo ticket to anyone who provides valid clues leading to its return.
On April 3, Doubao, a one-and-a-half-year-old capybara, broke out along with two companions, Bazong and Duoduo. Surveillance footage revealed that Bazong had smashed through a wooden panel, leading to the trio's great escape. The zoo has since reinforced its enclosures with protective nets. While Bazong and Duoduo have been captured and returned to the zoo, Doubao remains "at large."
The search continues for the internet's newest furry fugitive. Got a lead on Doubao? Your next trip to the zoo might just be on the house.
