2025 marks the 10th anniversary of the launch of the China-CELAC (Community of Latin American and Caribbean States) Forum.

Anna Paula Peralta Reyes is a Peruvian student majoring in communication at the University of Lima. She studied at a Chinese school in Peru for 11 years before continuing her studies at Jilin University in China. She believes the fourth ministerial meeting of the China-CELAC Forum is a good opportunity to bring countries together to cooperate on key issues such as infrastructure, clean energy, technology, food security and education.

She says the cooperation between China and Peru has yielded remarkable results, including the Chancay Port, a joint venture built by the two countries, which connects Latin America with Asia and creates numerous job opportunities. As the ties between China and countries in Latin America and the Caribbean become increasingly close, she believes that the two sides can join hands and share the fruits of development.
