The world has welcomed the agreement between China and the U.S. to cut tariffs for 90 days, with more negotiations planned for the future. John Gong, a professor of economics at the University of International Business and Economics, says the trade deal is reasonable, as such high tariffs are unsustainable, especially for the U.S., which faces pressure from both the stock market and domestic public opinion.
