Wang extended his congratulations to the newly appointed foreign minister and expressed his appreciation to Siddiq for his contributions to the development of China-Sudan relations during his tenure as Sudan's ambassador to China.

Wang noted that the Chinese and the Sudanese people are good friends and good brothers helping each other.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the China-Sudan strategic partnership, Wang said. He emphasized that both sides should effectively implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, promote the continuous fruitful results in bilateral relations and benefit the people of the two countries.

Wang reaffirmed China's support for Sudan in safeguarding its national sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity. He also expressed hope that Sudan will restore peace and stability at an early date, adding that China will continue to provide assistance within its capacity.

The Sudanese foreign minister expressed gratitude for China's long-term valuable support and humanitarian assistance to the Sudanese people, saying that Sudan regards China as its most important partner and trustworthy friend, and prioritizes cooperation between the two sides.

Sudan will continue to firmly support China in defending its core interests, maintaining territorial integrity and achieving national reunification, he added.
