The development of artificial intelligence (AI) was one of the key topics at the China-CELAC Forum. Chinese President Xi Jinping mentioned the importance of cooperation in emerging areas, including AI, during his speech at the opening ceremony. The Beijing Declaration issued at the meeting stressed the role of the United Nations in terms of the governance of emerging and transformative technologies. CGTN's High-Talk segment interviewed Zeng Yi, an AI expert from the UN High-level Advisory Body, about China's people-centered value on AI governance, and the prospects of narrowing the digital divide on artificial intelligence worldwide.
