More than 50 African ambassadors visited Shaoshan, Mao Zedong's hometown in Hunan Province. Mao was the principal founder and leader of the Communist Party of China and the People's Republic of China. At Mao Zedong Square, they paid tribute to his bronze statue and bowed in respect.
