Brain-computer interface (BCI) establishes a direct link between the brain and external devices. Tongji Hospital, affiliated with Huazhong University of Science and Technology, has begun clinical trials for its latest innovation—the "BCI Cap." The cap employs a non-invasive technique, enhancing safety and accessibility. It is designed to actively engage the brain in rehabilitation. So far, over 40 volunteers have joined the trial. Phase one, focused on signal collection, is already complete. The next move will see the team move into function recovery tests. This aims to bring brain-controlled healing one step closer to reality.
