Hundreds of pro-Palestinian demonstrators marched through the streets of New York City to commemorate the 77th anniversary of the Nakba, remembering the expulsion of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians from their homes, towns and villages in 1948 after the creation of the state of Israel.

The Israeli army has carried out a brutal offensive on the Gaza Strip since 2023, killing at least 53,010 Palestinians, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
