Chinese President Xi Jinping has replied to a letter from Simon Lichtenberg, the All China Founding Chairman of the Danish Chamber of Commerce (DCCC) in China. "The reply emphasizes our pivotal role in bridging Denmark-China and Europe-China ties, and calls for forging stronger cooperation bridges between the two sides," Lichtenberg told CGTN in the interview.
With 2025 marking the 75th anniversary of China-Denmark diplomatic relations, Lichtenberg submitted two letters to President Xi in April—one on behalf of the chamber and another as personal correspondence.
He also noted that Danish Foreign Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen's upcoming official visit to China is expected to foster greater dialogue and deepen mutual understanding between the two countries.
