The 2024-25 Bundesliga season officially came to an end on Saturday, as Bayern Munich beat Hoffenheim 4-0 on the road to secure their 25th win of the campaign.
Bayern had already clinched the league title last week, but spared no efforts in their final match of the campaign. Michael Olise scored on a beautiful free kick from about 25 yards out to give the visitors the lead in the 33rd minute.
Joshua Kimmich doubled Bayern's advantage in the 53rd minute, finishing off a well-worked team move. Serge Gnabry picked out the bottom corner to make it 3-0 in the 80th minute. Harry Kane completed the scoring four minutes from time to bring down the curtain on his first champion season.
The victory also marked 35-year-old Thomas Müller's 503rd and final appearance for Bayern in the Bundesliga, ahead of the German forward's summer departure.
"I appreciate it a lot. It seems people loved what I've done over the last 15-16 years in the Bundesliga," Muller said. "It's a great feeling. The support from our fans, and across the country, in recent weeks was incredible. For me, it was a very special day, but not a sad one. I'm just happy with what I achieved, and I love the Bundesliga."
Last season's champions Bayern Leverkusen finished second, 13 points behind Bayern. Those two teams, along with Eintracht Frankfurt in third and Borussia Dortmund in fourth, have qualified for the 2025-26 UEFA Champions League. Fifth-placed Freiburg will play the UEFA Europa League, with sixth-ranked Mainz heading to the UEFA Conference League.
Bottom duo Bochum and Holstein Kiel have been relegated, while Heidenheim will fight for their place in the top tier in a play-off against the third-placed team from the second flight.
